Plymouth Township approves sale of alcohol during its summer concert series

In May, Plymouth Township’s council voted unanimously to approve the sale of alcohol during its summer concerts held at the bandshell at The Greater Plymouth Community Center in Plymouth Meeting. The township has entered into an agreement with Well Crafted Beer Company, which has locations in Lansdale and Ambler. The owners of the brewery live in the township.

The consumption of alcohol will only be permitted in the bandshell area. Unlike a beer garden previously staged during Plymouth Township Day, patrons won’t have to sit within a separate area designated for alcohol consumption. Outside alcohol will not be permitted. The township will receive a percentage of the sales.

Alcohol will not be sold during outdoor movies shown at the same location over the summer.

The dates of the concerts and performers are as follows:

Wednesday, June 25th at 7:00 p.m. – Back to the 70s
Wednesday, July 9th at 7:00 p.m. – The Wonton Soups
Wednesday, July 23rd at 7:00 p.m. – Castles in the Sky
