Plymouth Township to Consider Funds to Preserve Maple Acres Farm as Undeveloped Farmland

Yesterday Plymouth Township Council Member Chris Manero posted on his Facebook page regarding an agenda item for a January 7th meeting of Plymouth’s Council. The item, which is just described on the agenda as “Commitment of Funds Resolution” (that really tells you a lot), involves the preservation of Maple Acres Farm as undeveloped farmland according to Manero’s post on Facebook. Below is his post:

At our workshop meeting this week, council will discuss a resolution to commit our share of funds, in partnership with Montgomery County, to preserve the Maple Acres Farm property as undeveloped farmland. The deal between the property and the county still needs to be finalized, but this is our chance to take a huge step toward a big win for the community.

How much money is involved is unknown. We searched online for more information on Maple Acres Farm’s deal with the county but didn’t find anything. We would ask Manero, but he has chosen to not answer questions from this publication.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 7th at 6:00 p.m. at the Plymouth Township building at 700 Belvoir Road in Plymouth Meeting.

More to come.
