Plymouth Township’s council tables discussion on new logo

During its January 12th meeting, Plymouth Township’s council voted unanimously to table the discussion on adopting a logo for the township.

The development of the logo was tasked to the Communication Advisory Board, which advises the township council on the township’s website, newsletter, etc.

There was a brief presentation by a board representative that explained the logo’s elements and how it was developed (MoreThanTheCurve.com covered this in a previous article).

Council members Chris Manero (D, at-large) and Aaron Nelson (D, District 4) thanked the board for its work, but were not in support of the logo design. Council President Chris Visco (D, Ward 3) offered support for the logo and suggested that it could be soft-launched by using it in places that did not cost significant money, such as the website and newsletters. Several members of the public expressed support for a logo, but not the one presented.

You can watch the presentation, discussion, and vote below (it is cued to the appropriate spot).
