The Colonial School District has made the decision to delay today’s Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduation due to the potential for significant storms. The ceremony was to be held at 6:00 p.m.
As of now, students are not to report at 4:30 p.m. as previously planned. The district will make a decision at 6:00 p.m. as to whether it can hold the graduation tonight at 8:00 p.m.
Below is the announcement from the school district:
The most recent forecast predicts inclement weather to begin around 5 p.m. with the potential for significant storms this evening. We are delaying the start of graduation to 8 p.m. in the hopes that the inclement weather moves out of our area.
Students should not report to PW at 4:30 p.m. We will make a decision and send a message no later than 6:00 p.m. if we are able to have graduation tonight at 8 p.m. We thank you for your patience, as our goal continues to have a safe, outdoor ceremony.
