Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Ashley and Victoria Griffin to cheer at Bloomsburg University

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Ashley and Victoria Griffin will cheer at Bloomsburg University while studying medical imaging.

The twin sisters are Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) All-American athletes and were on the team when it placed fifth in the nation for traditional cheer at UCA Nationals in 2020.

“My hard work throughout the last four years has helped prepare me by allowing me to face adversity and overcome obstacles,” said Victoria.

Ashley said being a cheerleader has been a great experience through which she has gained many skills.

“Cheering at PWHS has helped me build more confidence and strength,” said Ashley. “I love the bond that I share with all of my teammates.”

Victoria also cited the bonds and memories she shares with her teammates as one of her favorite things about the sport. Both students are looking forward to meeting new people and learning new stunts when they cheer for the Huskies.

In addition to their athletic endeavors, the sisters are involved in other activities and rigorous academic programs. Both served as orientation leaders and are members of the National Honor Society.
