For the second consecutive year, Plymouth Whitemarsh Aquatic Club (PWAC) has been awarded the honor of a Silver medal ranking in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program, recognizing the organization’s highest-performing clubs in the development of athletes 18 years and younger.

PWAC’s ranking climbed from 74th in the nation in 2018 to 44th in 2019 and is the second highest ranked club in Middle Atlantic Swimming.

“USA Swimming is fortunate to have tremendous athletes and coaches doing incredible work at the club level from coast to coast. The clubs who have earned Gold, Silver or Bronze honors represent the best of the best, and they are laying the groundwork for the future success of USA Swimming at the international level,” said USA Swimming Managing Director of Sports Development, Joel Shinofield.

It is extremely gratifying to have the hard work of our swimmers, skills of our coaching staff and unwavering support of our parents recognized by this preeminent swimming body. PWAC takes pride in our mission to pass the life-sport of swimming on to the youth of our community,” said Caroline Boland, PWAC Head Coach. “We strive for excellence in every practice and are proud to have the achievements of our athletes recognized by USA Swimming.”

PWAC is a year-round competitive swim team offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities led by Boland. The PWAC has served the residents of the Colonial School District and surrounding areas for over 30 years.

Coach Boland is considered one of the best age group coaches in the country. Boland continues to work alongside the legendary coach Richard Shoulberg, who is revered by the international swimming community and has had a profound influence on the sport worldwide.
