Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Riley Kiernan sets new school record for diving. Seven students qualify for districts

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School junior Riley Kiernan recently set a new school record for six dives with a score of 257.40. The previous record of 253.95 was set by Lize Keefer in 2012.

Kiernan set the new record during a meet against Mount St. Joseph’s/St. Joe’s Prep, which also saw for the first time six Plymouth Whitemarsh divers qualify for the District 1 Diving Championship on the same day.

“We also have never had six divers, in one season, qualify [for districts],” said Head Coach David Stewart. “So there’s a lot of great things happening with this team this year.”

The six who qualified during the meet were:

  • Riley Kiernan – 257.40
  • Annabel Ferhat – 212.00
  • Teagan Stanley – 206.00
  • Austin Alderfer – 280.60
  • Jed Alderfer – 251.30
  • Morgan Hulitt – 227.00

During a subsequent meet, ninth grader Ethan Scully also qualified with a 201.85.
