For about a year now there has been work going at the old location of On A Roll on Fayette between 5th and 6th.  I had heard it was now going to be a cheesesteak place with some type of special fries.  It is hard to see in this photo, but there is now writing on the door that says “Ponti’s Steaks and Spuds.”

On the main window it also says “Home of the Pointini,” which sounds like a variation of Poutine, the fries with cheese and gravy dish that is popular in Canada.  I will track down the owners and find out more details and when it is opening.
