Premier Urgent Care Opening in Conshohocken’s Borough Building

The original plan for the Borough of Conshohocken’s rehab of the Verizon Building is officially dead. The Borough announced today that Premier Urgent Care is moving into the first floor of its building. Not exactly the retail that the Borough had hoped to attract. The Borough has also turned away local businesses that sought office space on the first floor.

Here is the announcement:

Premier Urgent Care will be coming soon to the Borough of Conshohocken. The facility will operate out of the Borough Hall building, located at 400 Fayette Street, and will be stationed on the first floor.

Premier Urgent Care facilities  “provide a wide range of services, including treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, standard physicals, vaccinations, urine drug testing, and work-related injuries.” Services are in-network for most insurance plans, and costs are relatively lower (about one-third the cost) than a typical emergency room visit for those without insurance.

Wonder if the timing of the announcement has anything to do with the recent designation of about 25 on-street parking spots along Forrest Street (between West 5th and West 6th) as “Red Zone Parking” for tenants of the building?
