Yoga Home is offering a prenatal yoga class from September 8th through September 29th on Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This four-week series, with Meghan Dwyer, helps prepare the body and mind for pregnancy, labor, and delivery. This class is highly encouraged for pregnant women who are new to the yoga practice, as well as students with a more consistent practice that are looking to learn modifications and variations to support their practice throughout pregnancy. Yoga Home is also offering yoga for children and the classes are broken into two age groups. According to the Yoga Home website, “Yoga has been proven to have wonderful benefits for kids; it increases strength, flexibility, coordination, self-awareness, and self-esteem. Children learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way while having fun.”
The first class is for children four to six years old. This program starts on September 13th and runs through October 4th. The class is on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. The cost is $40.00 for the series and a $12 drop-in rate is offered. To register click here.
The second class for children is geared towards those seven to 10 years old. This program starts on September 11th and runs through October 2nd. The class is held on Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The cost is $40.00 for the series and a $12 drop-in rate is offered. To register click here.
