On June 5th, the Plymouth Township Planning Agency voted to recommend that zoning relief be granted for an indoor pickleball facility, that is seeking to open within the building at 1450 Gravers Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township). The issue will now be before the township’s zoning board on June 17th at 7:00 p.m.
During the planning agency meeting, we learned that the pickleball facility will be named Pickle Place and the owners are the son and mother team of Ethan and Priya Check. The building is 76,000 square feet and Pickle Place would occupy approximately 26,500 square feet. It would share the building with a plumbing supply company.
The club will be membership driven and feature nine full-size courts, three half-court warmup courts, and a pro shop. If approved, the Checks hope to be open by the end of the year.
The almost five-acre warehouse/manufacturing property was purchased in 2021 by 1850 Gravers PA Property LLC, an entity associated with Scheer Partners of Maryland.
