Recently approved apartment community in Conshohocken slated to start construction in spring of 2020

Back in November, Conshohocken’s Borough Council approved a conditional use application to allow an apartment community movie forward.

The community, Matson Mill, is being developed by High Street Residental and will be located between the eventual new train station and the Schuylkill River just above Oak Street. According to a representative from High Street Residential, the project is slated to begin construction in the spring of 2020.

Note that every time a project is approved we are told that construction is slated to start next spring. That mostly doesn’t happen and there are several large projects approved in Conshohocken that have never broken ground.

If Matson Mill does break ground in the spring of 2020, it will be the third large project under construction. In the top image, number one is SORA West, number two is Seven Tower Bridge, and number three is Matson Mill. Once completed, SORA West will be the corporate headquarters of AmerisourceBergen, a hotel, parking garage, restaurant (within an old firehouse) and a public square. Seven Tower Bridge will be the corporate headquarters of Hamilton Lane (it is taking half of the building).
