The Conshy Sport & Social Club just wrapped up a successful fall season and now has opened registration for its winter leagues. Starting in January, there will be a Cornhole league played at the TK Club and a Shuffleboard league played at Conshohocken Brewing. Below are the details:
Cornhole (register)
- Thursday Nights
- Game Times: 7:00, 7:45, 8:30, 9:15
- Begins on January 14
- Location: TK Club (500 E Hector St)
- 7 Regular Season weeks, 2 Playoff weeks
- Everyone makes the playoffs
- Two Divisions: Competitive & Social
- Best-of-Three Series every week up to 21; play three games no matter what 2 to 4 people on a team
- Male and/or female
- $40/player (includes $10 membership fee)
The TK Club has tons of space. The ceilings are very high and have at least four televisions. There is a big bar with $2 drafts and $3 drinks. The club does not offer food, but you are welcome to bring some or get delivery. There is also free pool, darts, and shuffleboard.
Please note that there is a membership fee. Due to this, everyone needs to sign up individually so the league can give them all the names and pay them the fees. The is a one-time fee, so if you play in future leagues, you don’t pay it again.
If you played last Winter at the Maenner-Chor Club in Norristown with Chipper, this will be the same league. He is not running a Winter league, but will be playing in this league. Last winter, there were close to 30 teams.
Shuffleboard (register)
- Wednesday Nights (and maybe Tuesday nights if we get enough people)
- Games Times: 6:00, 6:45, 7:30, 8:15
- Begins on January 13
- Location: Conshohocken Brewing Co.
- 7 Regular Season weeks, 2 Playoff weeks
- Everyone makes the playoffs
- Best-of-Three every week up to 15; play three games no matter what
- 2 to 4 people on a team
- Male and/or female
- $100/team OR $40/free agent
The Conshohocken Brewing Co. will have beer specials for league members. The table is 12 feet long (tables range from 9 to 22 feet. There are several televisions and great beer and food.
