UPDATE – The roadway is back open.

The Whitemarsh Township Police Department reported on November 4th at approximately 7:00 a.m. that Ridge Pike is closed in both directions from Church Road through Northwestern Avenue due to an accident that brought down telephone poles and transformers on the Springfield Township portion of the highway. It is not yet known how the closure will be necessary.

There have not yet been any reports of injuries.
