Sean Green, 5-1 last week, likes Titans, 49ers, Bills, and Buccaneers in the divisional round

Tough to say what was more embarrassing – the Philadelphia Eagles loss or the fact that I actually predicted them to win. The good news is that Eagles aside, I went 5-0 on the rest of my NFL betting picks and even hit two first TD bets on C.J. Uzomah and Dawson Knox on my podcast.

The last round included a bunch of blowouts, but these spreads from WynnBET reflect that the bookmakers are expecting some much closer affairs this weekend.

Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)

The Bengals are coming off their first playoff win in 30 years, which unfortunately means they’re primed for a letdown spot. The Titans are coming off a bye week, which has been great for head coach Mike Vrabel who is 8-0 with extra time to prepare. The Bengals make a game of it, but the Titans get the win and the cover.

San Francisco 49ers (+6) at Green Bay Packers

It seems crazy to fade the Green Bay Packers at home in Lambeau Field, but I think the 49ers get the cover. Green Bay is 28th in rush defense DVOA and the 49ers love to run the ball. The 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo, who is dealing with a shoulder and thumb injury, could actually help the 49ers by forcing them to not get away from their run-heavy game

Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5)

Matt Stafford didn’t need to do much in the Ram’s victory over the Cardinals last week when he attempted only 17 passes in the entirety of the game. This week will be very different since Tampa Bay will be able to clamp down on the Rams rush attack and will make Stafford beat them. Stafford is dealing with a bad back and has struggled on the road this season. Combine that with the Rams shorter rest between games and Los Angeles will be in trouble. Bucs win and cover.

Buffalo Bills (+1.5) at Kansas City Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills were my preseason pick to win the Super Bowl and I don’t see any reason to change that now. They completely dismantled the Patriots and now clearly appear to be a focused and driven team on a mission. Their newfound run game with Devin Singletary and Josh Allen’s willingness to rush makes them a tough team to stop. They get the win and the cover over KC.
