See Rendering for Renovations Planned at Plymouth Square Shopping Center

The Plymouth Square Shopping Center at the corner of Butler Pike and Ridge Pike in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) has been advertising for some time that the center was planning a major renovation.

Today the rendering for the planned renovations were uploaded to LoopNet.com, a commercial real estate website.

The renderings show some of what has already become public knowledge. The big change is that the space that was formerly a Five Below is going to be removed and an open-air plaza will replace it.

As we have previously reported, there is a liquor license for the spaces that are currently home to Whitemarsh Jewelers, the Music Training Center and Golden Dragon. Whitemarsh Jewelers announced before Christmas that it will be closing at this location (yesterday we reported that store will reopen in Skippack). The Music Training Center and Golden Dragon haven’t announced their plans yet. As the rendering at the top of this article shows it has a sign for a “Plymouth Hill Brewery” which doesn’t actually exist (they do this to show possibilities for the space), but that is space involved and has a pending liquor license. Based on what we have been told there isn’t a restaurant tenant for that space yet.

This vantage point is from the backside of the building (where Sweat Fitness is located). Notice the stairwell up to the plaza leading to REI and how the backside ground level becomes more retail-oriented. It also looks like there is a restaurant where the green umbrellas are.

We are not 100% sure what the vantage point of this rendering is.

More to come on this.
