As we mentioned in one of our Ideas for Conshohocken articles, there has been talk for several years about moving the Conshohocken Train Station just upriver to the intersection of Oak Street and possibly putting a crossing there. We asked SEPTA for an update and here is the response we received:

SEPTA is currently in the conceptual planning design stage for Conshohocken Train Station. The conceptual design calls for high-level platforms, relocation of the station closer to Oak St. and a new crossing. We are in discussions with the Borough and have no additional details at this time.

In the image at the top of the article, the green circle represents the current location of the train station. The blue circle is the potential new location and is currently a SEPTA parking lot.
