According to the school district, to become a finalist, students must have already been named semifinalists based on their scores on the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. All seven of the Plymouth Whitemarsh students were named semifinalists this past fall. To move on to the finalist category, students submitted detailed scholarship applications that include information about their academic records, participation in school and community activities, leadership abilities, employment, and awards/honors received.
