The ShopRite in East Norriton has closed. In July, MoreThanTheCurve.com reported that Acme was going to take over the location being vacated by ShopRite. The owner of the ShopRite in East Norriton, the Brown family, has released a statement on its closing and the store has been removed from the ShopRite website. Below is the statement:

After 23 years of operating the ShopRite of East Norriton, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your business over the years. We have enjoyed being an integral part of the community and sincerely appreciate all of the partnerships and friendships we have shared over the years. While we are sad to close the store in East Norriton, we welcome you to visit us at our neighboring stores in the Wyncote/Cheltenham and Roxborough communities. Thank you again!

Acme has not yet released information on when it intends to open in East Norriton.
