Thirteen Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students participated in the spring National Signing Day celebration on April 23rd. This includes six football players who will play at the college level (we will have a second article on the other seven students).
The football players are:
Kevin Hegarty | Wilkes University | Planned Major – Marketing (top left)
Hegarty played the past two years as a linebacker for the Colonials, making 138 tackles and three interceptions. He returned two of those picks for touchdowns. He was named Second-Team All-League as a sophomore, First-Team All-League and All-Area his junior and senior year, and Honorable Mention All-State for this past season.
Jadon Joseph | Long Island University | Planned Major – Criminal Justice (top center)
Joseph played defensive end for the Colonials, Jadon had 49 tackles (10 for a loss), eight sacks, three pass breakups, and one interception during his senior year. He was named First-Team All-League defensive tackle twice, a top-ten returning defensive tackle in District 1 for the 2024-2025 season, as well as First-Team All-Area, and All-State defensive tackle his senior year.
Shi-Nobi Morffiah | Wilkes University | Planned Major – Accounting and Finance
Morffiah earned First Team All-League Honors as a defensive end and Honorable Mention as a left guard.
Jared Thomas-Payne | Delaware State University | Planned Major – Business
Left tackle Thomas-Payne ranked 40th in the state and was twice named First-Team All League and twice Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Eddie Moyett | Ursinus College | Planned Major – Pre-Engineering (bottom center)
Moyett, the Colonial’s captain, was a First-Team All-League offensive tackle and a Second-Team defensive tackle in 2023 and Second-Team All-League in 2024 as both a defensive and an offensive tackle.
Chase Smith | Ithaca College | Planned Major – Strategic Leadership (bottom right)
Smith played cornerback for the Colonials. In his senior season, he made 30 tackles, four touchdowns, and 500 all-purpose yards, earning him First-Team All-League honors.
