Will Yip, a music producer and engineer at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance for his work on Code Orange’s “Forever.” The recording and production of the song was split between Studio 4 and a studio outside Boston.

The song “Forever” is on the album Forever which Rolling Stone ranked as the 50th best album of 2017.

The Grammy Awards will be held on January 28th.

This Grammy nomination is still crazy. Waking up to a text from Jami saying “I told you we’d do it” last Tuesday morning sums up code perfectly. The confidence is undeniable. But the confidence is the result of nothing but insane hard work. It’s well earned and well deserved confidence. Code orange are some of the hardest working people I know, relentless and continually successful in their pursuit of creative growth. I don’t really think anyone other than the band wanted me to produce forever, I’m grateful they did. We pushed each other endlessly and seriously exhausted every bit of energy we had in this record and I’m stoked the world is recognizing the hard work we all put into it. Thanks to the guys for having me help produce this with them. When you get your Grammy ballots NARAS members, check off the box for seriously the realest choice on the entire damn ballot. Everyone in that band fucking deserves it. They’re taking over….And get me my first Grammy plaque on the wall here, I’m tired of only seeing Phil’s plaques everyday for the last 10 years. 🙌🏼🔥🔪 @codeorangetoth
