Tacohocken is Just Nine Days Away – See what Southern Cross Kitchen has Planned

MoreThanTheCurve.com recently announced the first annual Tacohocken will take place on Saturday, June 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at nine participating restaurants and bars (Cerdo, Tierra Caliente, Southern Cross Kitchen, Coyote Crossing, Guppy’s Good Times, Flanigan’s Boathouse, The Lucky Dog, Jasper’s Backyard, and The StoneRose).

Please note, you must order tickets by Sunday, June 2 to receive a t-shirt with ticket purchase.

Participants of Tacohocken will spend the day enjoying $1 tacos, signature tacos (prices vary) and drink specials.

The event is sponsored by the Abe Thomson Group. Rumor has it that Abe will be at one of the restaurants all day buying participants $1 tacos.

Leading up to the event, we will be highlighting what each restaurant will be offering during Tacohocken. Today we have details from Southern Cross Kitchen.

Southern Cross Kitchen’s featured taco is a Maker’s Mark braised taco with shredded pork shoulder, bourbon BBQ, smoked gouda mornay, and shredded lettuce. You get three for $15.00.

For its $1 taco option, Southern Cross Kitchen is offering a Chicken Tinga Taco with pulled chipotle chicken, adobo sauce, pico de Gallo, cheddar cheese, and cotija avocado crema.

Southern Cross’ drink special is a Watermelon Margarita (Lunazul primero, fresh lime juice, watermelon puree, simple syrup, served over rocks w/ watermelon garnish. Salt or Sugar rim) for $8.00.
