Tattoo studio seeks permission to open in Lafayette Hill

The Whitemarsh Township Planning Commission will consider a conditional use application from a tattoo studio seeking to open at 450 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill (Whitemarsh Township) on October 8th. The planning commission’s role is to review the application and make a recommendation to the township’s board of supervisors, who can grant or deny the application.

A conditional use application is necessary when a municipality’s code allows for a type of business (as a conditional use), but requires the company to undergo a review during which conditions can be placed on it to be granted permission to move forward.

The studio, Shoobie Lee Tattoo, will move from its current location in Plymouth Meeting if the application is approved.

The full agenda and application are available here. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the township building.
