On Monday, readers started to tell us that The General has closed in Lafayette Hill. The restaurant was located in the former General Lafayette Inn property that was home to Barren Hill Brewery & Tavern prior to The General opening in August of 2017.

According to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer, any gift cards that are out there will be honored at From the Boot in Ambler and Lafayette Hill. The restaurants shared some of the same ownership.

The restaurant was leasing the space. The building is owned by 646 Germantown Pike LP.
