The Kiwanis Club of Conshohocken recently awarded scholarships to three 2023 graduates from local high schools. This year’s recipients are:
- Daniela Flores (pictured left) from Archbishop Carroll High School, who will be attending Ohio Wesleyan University
- Caroline Veon (pictured center) from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, who will be attending the University of Delaware
- Bridget Grazel (pictured right) from Archbishop Carroll High School, who will be attending the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill
Each student was awarded $1,000 to help defray their first year’s college tuition. Pictured with the scholarship recipients are, from left to right, Rose Cnudde, Les Gibbs, and Jen Vare, members of the club’s scholarship committee.
The Kiwanis Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at Guppy’s Good Times at 6:00 p.m. The club has supported the Children’s Lending Library at Sutcliffe Park; Community Benches thru plastic bag recycling; Tooth Buddies, a program at local schools; the Colonial Neighborhood Council; an Easter Egg Hunt; a Scarecrow Contest; and the local Little League; plus much more.
