Bob Frost (R) previously served as Mayor from 1993 through 2005. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and is an Industrial Sales Manager. He has two children and his family are members of Saint Matthew’s Parish. In the community, he is currently or has been active with Fellowship House, Little League and the Soapbox Derby. While previously serving as mayor he launched the “Mayor’s Special Events Committee.”
If elected Mayor, he plans to:
Work with the police administration to deliver smart, effective and efficient police services.
The safety of Conshohocken residents and the protection of their property is borough government’s first priority. As I did during my previous service as Mayor, I will be your voice with police administration to help keep you safe.
Seek to rein in spending.
Quality local government can be provided without further burdening taxpayers. Raising taxes is the easy way out for officials. As Mayor, I will assist council to find solutions that don’t require raising taxes and excessive spending.
Promote community involvement in borough events.
The annual Car Show, 4th of July Fireworks and Halloween Parade are just a few events that brought the community together. I will work with residents, business owners and civic organizations to make sure these events are continued. I will promote more events to be enjoyed by Conshohocken families.
Support the needs of Conshohocken’s senior citizens.
We have an obligation have an offer services and activities that enrich the lives of senior citizens in our community. As Mayor, I will be a strong advocate for the interests and needs of Conshohocken seniors.
Marty Eckert (D) is a graduate of Montgomery County Community College and is a Account Manager within a dietary division of a healthcare services company. He has been involved in youth athletics in the borough since 1974 and has also coached at several area high schools.
If elected Mayor, he plans to:
Neighborhood Safety
As a concerned resident, I have seen the involvement the police and town watch has provided and improvements that have been made. I will strongly support new programs, training and community outreach.
Parks and Recreation
As a young boy, I grew up at the Fellowship House, The A field and Sutcliffe Park. As an adult I had the opportunity to coach and referee at these locations. These are reasons why people who grew up here are coming back to raise their families here. I have always supported continued improvement to our parks and recreation programs.
Taxes
Speaking as a Homeowner, I do not support raising our property taxes.
Senior Programs
I believe we can do much more for Conshohocken’s seniors.
Neighborhood and Street Improvement
Conshohocken is growing by leaps and bounds. Our streets and side roads, as well as our neighborhoods, must be taken care of. This is something we should take pride in.
There you have it…the election is November 3rd.
