There is a new cafe and bike shop (sales and repairs) in Conshohocken. The Tricycle Shop opened within the historic Miller House (1 Station Avenue) near the Spring Mill Train Station. It fills the space that was once Riverbend Cycles & Cafe that closed pre-pandemic in 2020.

The business is not replicating the Riverbend business model, which had a very small cafe on the first floor with no interior seating. Tricycle’s cafe encompasses the entire first floor of the building (along with some retail products) and the bike shop and repairs are on the second level.

The tricycle name comes from its three owners, Adena Brewington-Brown (left) who oversees the menu, Mike Brown (center) who handles the bikes, and Isaiah Urbino (right), who is behind the scenes managing the business and marketing. The Tricycle Shop is currently the only black-owned restaurant in Conshohocken and the first, we believe, in at least two-to-three decades.

The cafe’s coffee will be Greenstreet Roastery of Philadelphia. The current hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and weekends from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
