The World’s Largest Potato on Wheels coming to Whitemarsh for the Fourth of July Parade

Whitemarsh Township’s annual Fourth of July Parade will have a special visitor this year. The Big Idaho® Potato Truck is set to join the community groups, organizations, teams, businesses, families, antique car owners, and others who regularly walk in the parade.

The World’s Largest Potato on Wheels tips the scale at four tons, which is approximately 21,562
medium-sized Idaho® potatoes. While the potato on the truck isn’t real, if it were:

  • The Big Idaho® Potato would take more than 7,000 years to grow.
  • Plan on waiting 2 years for it to bake.
  • If you have a large crowd to feed, this tater would make 20,217 servings of mashed potatoes
    and almost 1 million (970,380) average-sized fries!
  • It is 802 times heavier than the largest potato ever grown, which weighed 11 pounds.

If you want your group or business to walk in the parade, there is still time to register.
