Tone Zone’s trainers are known for their tough workouts and they promise you will generate a lot of sweat in every class. Owner Scott Sorkin noticed the floor was getting a bit slippery during workouts and he wanted to provide a surface that would be easier on knees, backs and joints. Due to this he recently installed a rubber floor in its workout room at its Ridge Pike location in Conshohocken.
A few years ago, Sorkin designed a rectangular box jump that serves as a small bench for abdominals and triceps, a weight for arms and back, and a step for cardio bursts, push-ups and box jumps. After installing the rubber floor, a class involved a lot of jumping, and the floors really helped absorb the impact.
Tone Zone offers 70 classes a week to choose from between its three locations (two in Conshohocken and one in Blue Bell).
