On Tuesday, August 4th, the Pennsylvania National Guard, the Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (H.A.R.T.), and the Conshohocken Fire Department will be conducting a readiness exercise along the Schuylkill River and utilizing the borough’s helipad.

During the exercise, the public is advised that you may observe a military helicopter in the area, flying low over the river, and landing at the helipad. Conshohocken emergency personnel, along with other local responders, will be in the area to help promote a safe exercise.

Please note that the exercise will briefly impact the walking path along the river.

The purpose of the drill is to help local responders prepare for water emergencies in and around the region and work seamlessly with state resources.

The PA-HART is a joint partnership between the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and the PA Emergency Management Agency, along with credentialed civilian rescue technicians.
