A camera that reads licence plates in Conshohocken notified the Conshohocken Police Department on Wednesday, June 18th, that a stolen vehicle was in the borough. That alert led to a traffic stop at Oak Street and Robinson Alley, and two people in the car fleeing the scene on foot.
The Conshohocken Police Department was aided in a two-hour search for the pair by a K-9 unit from the Lower Merion Township Police Department and a drone from the Conshohocken Fire Department.
Arrested were 28-year-old Jamaul Wright and 25-year-old Sayquan Seaborn, both of Philadelphia. Recovered from the incident were the stolen vehicle and two handguns.
Both were charged with four felonies, including Person Not To Possess, Use, Etc. Firearms, Carrying Firearm Without A License, Receiving Stolen Property, Conspiracy – Receiving Stolen Property, and misdemeanors.
Bail was set for Wright at $99,000. Seaborn’s bail was set for $99,077. Both were unable to make bail and are currently confined at the Montgomery County Prison.
Both have a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 2nd before Magisterial District Judge Dara Nasatir.
