Two Plymouth Whitemarsh High School seniors medal at Indoor Track & Field State Championship

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School seniors and team captains Daniel Ajuz and Ciara Frederic recently medaled at the Pennsylvania Indoor Track & Field State Championship. Both are set to compete in the Nike Indoor Nationals in March.

Ajuz won the silver medal in the boys long jump with a leap of 22-7.25 and is ranked second in the state. Frederic finished seventh with a jump of 17-7.75 and also ran 7.98 in the girls 60-meter dash.  In addition to the long jump and 60-meter dash, she will be competing in the girls 4×200 meter relay at at the Nike Indoor Nationals.

Other members of the high school’s track team who who found success at the state championship meet include junior and team captain Tyra Goard, who will be joining Frederic in the girls 4×200 meet relay at the Nike Indoor Nationals. .Goard is also expected to make the Outdoor State Championships this spring in the girls triple jump.

The boys 4×800 meter relay team made up of sophomores Willie Waerig, Hantuan Beltran, Joshua Bucko, and junior Kaiden Rickert. will also be competing in that event at the Nike Indoor Nationals.
