We often report on companies choosing to move to Conshohocken, but can’t remember (off the top of our head) reporting on one choosing to move out of Conshohocken, especially not to another suburb.
On April 14th, UBS Wealth Management USA announced in a press release that it was moving its Conshohocken office, located at 101 West Elm Street, to the Radnor Financial Center at 150 North Radnor Chester Road in St. Davids. According to an article in the Philadelphia Business Journal, the move will impact 50 employees, who are required to work in the office at least three days a week.
Why the move? Patricia Cashin, who was just named the senior market director for UBS in the Philadelphia region, stated in an interview with the Philadelphia Business Journal that UBS wanted a fresh start and that Radnor is close to its current and potential clients. It was also able to design the space to better suit its needs.
