Democrats swept the two races for five seats on West Conshohocken’s Borough Council. Four of the seats were for a four-year term and one was for a two-year term (due to a resignation).
Democrats Jeffrey F. Ewing, Amelia Gale, and Zachary Nelson, and Chris Cella, claimed the four seats. In regards to the seat for the two-year term, an incumbent, Tara Gorney, opted to seek that seat and won.
Republicans were able to put up two candidates, Walter Gleba and David Frankenfield, Jr. Frankenfield also qualified for the ballot for the two-year term.
Interestingly, West Conshohocken’s council has underwent a rash of resignations over the past 14-15 months. Ewing, Gale, Nelson, and Cella, were all appointed during this period to serve on the council to fill the seats that were vacated.
