Update on 2025 major and notable crimes in Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, and West Conshohocken

What happened with the major crimes that took place in Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, and Plymouth Meeting in 2025? We have an update (below in no particular order).

“Brutal Assault”

In April, the Conshohocken Police Department announced arrests in connection with a “brutal assault” on two adult females on March 15th. Among the five arrested were two adults and three minors, including two 10-year-olds.

The two adults, Conshohocken residents Kharee Davis (who was 18 at the time) and the then 36-year-old Demetria Miller, were charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault (Attempts to cause SBI or causes injury with extreme indifference) and other related charges. Both are out on bail and awaiting trial.

Puppy Theft

Back in March, the Plymouth Township Police Department sought information about Zendaya Zoe, who was believed to be the person captured on video in connection with the theft of a German Shepard puppy from a local pet store. Zoe was arrested on December 18th and charged with Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. She is out on bail and her preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 20th.

Life in Prison following West Conshohocken Murder

In May, a West Conshohocken woman, 25-year-old Alyssa Wiest, was shot and killed by her boyfriend, 27-year-old Michael Dutkiewicz, following a breakup. Dutkiewicz was convicted of first-degree murder in October and sentenced to life in prison.

Street Takeover

In June, a street takeover at the five-point intersection on Ridge Pike (with Colwell, Chemical, and North Lane) in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) drew hundreds of onlookers (and trapped regular motorists), while a few cars performed stunts such as burnouts, fishtailing, ghost riding, and drifting. The Plymouth Township Police Department led an investigation, working with multiple agencies to identify the vehicles. Three men were eventually charged, with two being arrested and one still at large (as of October).

In October, 21-year-old Dalton Lee Janiczek of Lower Gwynedd was driving erratically and was sought by police. Plymouth Township Police Officer Jake Hennessey located Janiczek in a hotel parking lot, where Janiczek sought to flee the scene by ramming Officer Hennessey’s vehicle and Hennessey himself as he exited the vehicle and was injured on the ground. After leaving the scene, Janiczek rammed another police vehicle and injured a second officer.

Janiczek has been charged with multiple felonies, including Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer, Aggravated Assault, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and related charges. He is awaiting trial.

During a December ceremony, Police Chief John C. Myrsiades stated that the officers used themselves as shields to protect unsuspecting bystanders during an intentional attack on officers’ lives.

Ticket Scam

A 27-year-old Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township) resident, Paul Grant Murray, was charged in multiple jurisdictions in August for allegedly selling tickets to events, including Philadelphia Eagles games and a Taylor Swift concert, failing to deliver them, failing to provide refunds, and writing bad checks. He is currently out on bail and awaiting trial.

Two Calls, Same House, One Charge of Attempted Murder in Conshohocken

The Conshohocken Police Department was called to the same house twice in two days along the 200 block of Spring Mill Avenue. The incidents involved two separate stabbings and a gun being fired. Police stated that the incidents were unrelated, targeted attacks against specific victims.

The first incident resulted in two individuals taken into custody and charged with simple assault and related offenses. A handgun was also recovered during the investigation. One victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

The investigation into the second incident found that a man had entered the home, fired a weapon, and stabbed two individuals. An adult male was taken to a local hospital for a stab wound. A second person had a minor injury and was evaluated on the scene by EMS. Arrested was 41-year-old Michael J. Collins of Conshohocken, and charged with multiple crimes, including Attempted Murder in the First Degree, Aggravated Assault, and Burglary. Collins is currently awaiting formal arraignment and is being held on $1 million bail.
