Update on the proposal for 21 condos at East Elm and Poplar streets in Conshohocken

Conshohocken’s Borough Council held a conditional use hearing on May 5th for a proposed condo community at the corner of East Elm Street and Poplar Street (261-263 East Elm Street). The developer is Craft Custom Homes.

The developer is proposing to construct 21, two-bedroom townhomes. The property includes what was once a train station (you can see elements of this inside Prime Intensity Training, which currently operates on a portion of the property). The developer plans to incorporate these features into the plan for the community.

The conditional use will likely go before borough council for a vote at its next meeting on May 19th.

The proposal also will need zoning relief to move forward. It will be on the agenda of the zoning hearing board on May 12th. The agenda doesn’t outline the specific relief it seeks, but during the conditional use hearing, it was mentioned that there are required variances connected to setbacks.
