Video of the candidate forum for the Democrats running to replace Mary Jo Daley in the state house. The district includes Whitemarsh Township

The Narberth Civic Association recently held a forum featuring the four candidates running in the Democratic Party primary to replace State Representative Mary Jo Daley, who has long represented PA-148. The district includes Whitemarsh Township, Narberth, and part of Lower Merion. Daley announced in October 2025 that she would not seek reelection in 2026 and would retire.

The four candidates are recently elected Whitemarsh Township Supervisor Megan Griffin-Shelley, former Narberth Mayor Andrea Deutsch, environmental lawyer and civil rights advocate Jason Landau Goodman, and Leo Solga, a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

The Republican Party does not have a candidate for this office on the primary ballot. Someone could receive enough write-in votes in the primary to qualify for the general election ballot.

The primary election is scheduled for May 19th. Below is the video of the forum.
