Water Issue Closes Six Restaurants in Whitemarsh, Plus a Bunch of Others in Nearby Communities

The advisory issued by Pennsylvania American Water detailing the potential for contaminated water in the Norristown area, including its customers in Whitemarsh, has forced six restaurants to close in Whitemarsh. The closed restaurants are the Spring Mill Cafe, The Persian Grill, III Illiano’s Pizza, Hunan Wok and Caspian Grille. In total, over 200 restaurants are closed or partially closed in the area. The water company has to obtain two days of clear tests before it can lift the advisory and the water is considered safe. The results for the second test are expected back on Friday afternoon.
