West Conshohocken’s Public Works Department Rescues Trapped Ducklings

Earlier today a reader sent us a photo of a mother duck with ducklings crossing River Road near Balligomingo Road. She witnessed the mother duck being able to jump up on the curb, but the ducklings all fell into a storm drain.

We alerted West Conshohocken’s Public Works Department. Rob Donitsky and Dan Costello, followed by Officer Andrew Carlin from the West Conshohocken Police Department, quickly arrived on the scene and were able to save the seven ducklings and one giant frog (who had also trapped in the storm drain).
