Below is a breakdown of the elections.

Borough of Conshohocken

In the Borough of Conshohocken, there will be four seats (Ward 1, 3, 5, and 7) up for election on the borough council. There are no term limits in Conshohocken. We have not seen any announcements on anyone’s intentions about running.

The council currently consists of seven Democrats.

Whitemarsh Township

In Whitemarsh Township, there will be three seats up for election on the board of supervisors. One incumbent, Lauren Boyle Nestor, will not be able to run again due to term limits. We have not seen any announcements on anyone’s intentions about running. In Whitemarsh, all of the seats are at-large.

The board currently consists of five Democrats.

Plymouth Township

In Plymouth Township, there will be two seats up for election (Wards 2 and 4) on the township council, and one incumbent, Chris Manero (Ward 2), will not be able to run again due to term limits. We have not seen any announcements on anyone’s intentions about running.

The board currently consists of five Democrats.

Borough of West Conshohocken

In West Conshohocken, there will be four seats up for election on the borough council. There of the four seats are held by people who were recently appointed to the council due to resignations. We have not seen any announcements on anyone’s intentions about running. In West Conshy all of the seats are at-large.

There are so many newly appointed members we aren’t sure of the political leanings of the current board. However, the board consisted of seven Democrats at the beginning of the year.

Colonial School District

The Colonial School Board would normally have five seats up for election, but due to an appointment, there will be six seats for voters to decide on in 2023. In the last election cycle, both political parties sat the election out and a group of non-endorsed candidates won without opposition. This followed a very contentious 2019 election when a group of non-endorsed candidates (four Democrats and one Republican) ran together and defeated a slate endorsed by the Democratic Party apparatus. Will the parties stay out of the upcoming school board elections? Will candidates continue to not seek party endorsements? We will see.

County Level Offices

Up for election are the three county commissioner seats and all of the row offices like the district attorney, recorder of deeds, treasurer, sheriff, coroner, etc.
