When to put out your Christmas trees

Wondering what to do with that Christmas tree you don’t feel like taking down? Below are the details for the Conshohocken, Plymouth Township, and Whitemarsh Township.

Borough of Conshohocken
Conshohocken asks that you put your Christmas trees out on Tuesday night for collection on Wednesday’s yard waste pickup. Tree bags, all ornaments, lights, and stands must be removed. The trees are collected, chipped, and composted.

Borough of West Conshohocken
Starting this week, West Conshohocken will collect and recycle all Christmas trees. Please place them out with your normal trash with all lights and ornaments removed.

Plymouth Township
Plymouth collects Christmas trees on Wednesdays in January with yard waste. The trees are collected and processed into wood chips, which is turned into mulch. All ornaments, lights, stands, etc. need to be removed. The resulting mulch is available free at the Public Works driveway at 700 Belvoir Road.

Whitemarsh Township
Whitemarsh ask that residents leave un-decorated (no tinsel) trees at the curb with yard waste. (on the curb, not in the street). Yard waste will be collected on January 2nd and will then return to the normal Wednesday schedule.
