Whitemarsh Board of Supervisors to Discuss Setting a Date for a Public Hearing for a Zoning Amendment to Allow Townhomes Off Cedar Grove Avenue

There is a meeting of the Whitemarsh Township Board of Supervisors tonight (Thursday, December 4th) at 7:00 p.m. at which the supervisors will consider setting a date for a public hearing for a zoning amendment that would alter the zoning along Cedar Grove Avenue to allow a residential townhome development. The proposed development “The Oaks at Lafayette Hill” falls within the LIM (Limited Industrial District) and the only type of residential housing allowed within the district, with conditions, is age-restricted apartments and condos.

We reported back in September about this proposed development. At that time the proposal was for 163 townhomes.
