Whitemarsh Township invites residents to weigh in on future of parks and open space

Whitemarsh Township announced on Monday, July 13th, that it is preparing a new Comprehensive Recreation, Parks, Open Space, Greenways, and Trails Plan (CRPOSGTP). Current plans for outdoor spaces are outdated, according to the notice from Whitemarsh township, and do not meet the needs of residents or reflect the township’s current conditions. The township asked residents to give their input on the new plan at a Public Listening Session on Monday, July 20th.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the main room of the Miles Park Building, said Whitemarsh Township. The meeting is in-person and open to all township residents. Whitemarsh Township encouraged residents to express all opinions, positive and negative, related to public green space. A record of desires, opinions and concerns from the meeting will be documented and used to inform the new plan, said the township.

Parking for the meeting can be found in the Miles Park Joshua Road lot or the Miles Park Lower parking lots.
