Yesterday we reported that the Borough of Conshohocken is seeking a Parks & Recreation Director and today we can share that Whitemarsh Township is also seeking someone for the same position. Whitemarsh has been advertising for the opening since October 17th and the last day to apply is November 17th.

Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, PA is seeking a dynamic and innovative Full-Time Director of Parks & Recreation.
The Director of Parks & Recreation is responsible for the development, management and operation of Township parks, recreational areas and community programs. This position serves as the liaison to various Township boards and committees and volunteer organizations. The ability to create and maintain relationships within the Township Parks & Recreation community as well as with the Township administration and the public is essential. The Director is also responsible for organizing, planning, evaluating and directing the work of permanent, temporary and volunteer staff of the Parks & Recreation Department.
Interested candidates must have the ability to direct a comprehensive municipal parks and recreation program. A Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation, public administration or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred as well as minimum of 5 years experience in public recreation, with experience in a supervisory role. A valid driver’s license is required.
