Whitemarsh Township is accepting bids for the property at 14 Marple Lane in Plymouth Meeting (Whitemarsh Township) prior to 11:00 a.m. on May 28th. The property was part of Whitemarsh Township’s 2022 acquisition of the historic Abolition Hall property. This section was not considered historic and was subdivided to be sold.
According to the inspection report, the structure on the just under a half-acre property is over 260 years old and was deemed a low-quality cottage-style home. it goes on to say that “Numerous improvements are required. A substantial investment will be required to bring the house up to acceptable condition. The costs of these repairs and the end result should be weighed against the cost of demolition and reconstruction.”
