Witch’s Way Craft, which is currently an online new-age holistic gift shop, has signed a lease for the space at 320 Fayette Street in Conshohocken. The owner, Lily Amberg, has been a practicing witch for 17 years. She is currently attempting to raise $5,000 through a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.com to make some renovations to the space and cover the permits, etc.
Below is some information on the store from the campaign’s description:
WWC was founded to let people know it’s okay to be themselves. Witches are people too and deserve respect by people who misunderstand them. The township [borough] this store is opening in is small and welcoming, but does not have any community space for spiritual folks. We need your help to make this space a place to host new and full moon meetings, have group rituals, solstice parties and more! Our goal is to create a space in an area that doesn’t have ANYTHING like this for those like us to come out and say HERE WE ARE and be proud of it!
Our shop space is going to be exactly that for people of all ages and all walks of life. We are here to expand our community and keep educating the world that witches and magic are a thing to be celebrated. Even today spiritual folk are often misunderstood, having more physical presence will allow those who feel the need to hide their magical side to feel safer and more free to express who they are in their communities.
