Full slate of memorial services planned locally for Memorial Day, along with parade in West Conshohocken

The Conshohocken VFW Post 1074 has a full slate of services planned for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th in Conshohocken, Plymouth Township, Whitemarsh Township and West Conshohocken. As this is the Borough of West Conshohocken’s 150th anniversary, there will be a parade along Ford Street with the Upper Merion Marching Band followed by a service at the borough hall. In addition, West Conshohocken is taking a “whole town photo” and will open a time capsule buried 25 years ago.

The West Conshohocken parade route and road closures are as follows: New Dehaven Street from Union Hill Road through Church Street to Front Street. All of Ford Street, starting at Church Street and continuing to Front Street will be closed and will not be accessible from any off street during the parade.

8:45 a.m. – Memorial services at Calvary Cemetery
9:00 a.m. – Memorial services at Gulf Christian Church Cemetery
9:30 a.m. – Memorial services at St. Benedict’s Cemetery
10:00 a.m. – Plymouth Meeting Veteran Monument (Walton + Germantown)
10:30 a.m. – Hero’s Ground Ceremony (Joshua+ Germantown)
11:00 a.m. – Barren Hill Cemetery/St Peters
11:30 a.m. – Memorial services at St Matthew Cemetery (New)
11:45 a.m. – Memorial services at St. Matthew Cemetery (Old)
12:00 p.m. – George Clay Fire House
12:15 p.m. – Parade down Ford Street
12:30 p.m. – West Conshohocken Borough Hall 150th
1:00 p.m. – West Conshohocken Borough Hall
1:30 p.m. – Memorial service at VFW Post 1074 (300 E 5th Avenue)
