The Plymouth Township Police Department announced on June 14th that the Target at The Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting was recently the focus of strategic intervention details consisting of the department, the Montgomery County Detective Bureau’s Major Crimes Unit, and Target Loss Prevention.
The details operated at the store on May 23rd and May 24th and worked to identify and apprehend those committing retail theft. Similar operations also took place in other Target stores in the region. Eleven arrests were made over the two days in Plymouth Meeting.
Below are the details about specific arrests from the police department:
Theodore Robinson was arrested and charged with retail theft on Thursday, May 23rd. Robinson was identified as a habitual theft offender at Target and was charged with a total twelve theft incidents dating back to December 2023. Robinson was arraigned and released on $5,000, unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 38-1-13.
Porsche Chanta Corbitt and Toney Miles were arrested and charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy on Thursday, May 23rd. They were arraigned and Corbitt was released on $5,000, unsecured bail, while Miles was released on $7,500, unsecured bail. Both failed to appear at their preliminary hearing on June 4th.
Alicia Greenwood was arrested and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property on Friday, May 24th. Greenwood was arraigned and released on $2,500, unsecured bail. Her preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 38-1-13.
Devron Thompson was arrested and charged with retail theft on Friday, May 24th. Thompson was processed an issued a citation for retail theft and released.
Edward Joseph Witcraft was arrested and charged with retail theft on Friday, May 24, 2024. Witcraft was arraigned and released on $5,000, unsecured bail. Witcraft waived his preliminary hearing on June 4th.
Kristie Leanne Miller was arrested and charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday, May 24th. MILLER was also charged with another retail theft incident that occurred on May 16th. Miller was arraigned and released on $5,000, unsecured bail. Miller waived her preliminary hearing on June 4th.
Four juveniles were also arrested as a result of a theft incident on Friday, May 24th. During the incident, two juveniles were charged with summary retail theft. One juvenile was charged with fleeing and eluding, in addition to retail theft, after leading police on a foot pursuit through The Metroplex’s parking lots. The fourth juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, in addition to retail theft. All four juveniles were released to their parents and charges are pending in Juvenile Court.
