There has been great speculation about the Light Parker building over the past month or so. There was lots of talk about it becoming a grocery store, but it looks like at least the initial interest for that didn’t pan out. The building is now listed for lease by Capital Commercial Real Estate Group.

The space really makes no sense for a grocery store. There is zero parking. What would be great is if the property could be divided into multiple retail spaces for smaller shops. The listing shows that it is 11,250 square feet. The price per square foot is $32.00. That is $360,000 a year in rent. Small retail can’t pay that.

Hopefully it doesn’t end up a bank.
