At approximately 11:18 a.m. today a truck traveling on West Elm Street struck a telephone poll. We do not have any information regarding injuries, but someone living nearby sent us a few photos. Immediately after the accident, police had West Elm Street closed at Colwell Lane. As of 1:00 p.m. the accident is still considered an active scene according to Montgomery County’s active incident report.
